COMPANY ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
The following companies are eligible for these programs:
For-profit private companies;*
Persons employed by and receiving a salary from the participating companies;
Persons maintaining an employment relationship with the employer;
Self-employed workers when they join a cohort of salaried employees.
Exceptionally, a cohort of self-employed workers may be eligible if the project concerns a sector that is primarily composed of self-employed workers.**
*Companies from the ICT sector receive preferential treatment.
**Only training costs are reimbursed.
INELIGIBLE COMPANIES, ORGANIZATIONS AND WORKERS
Departments, municipalities and agencies of Quebec, a list of which is available here: gouv.qc.ca/FR/VotreGouvernement/Pages/MinisteresOrganismes.aspx?pgs;
Departments, agencies and crown corporations of Canada, a list of which is available here: canada.ca/fr/gouvernement/min/index.html;
Corporations or organizations receiving more than 50% of their financing from public funds, except those that are part of the sector falling under the Comité sectoriel de main-d’œuvre de l’économie sociale et de l’action communautaire (CSMO-ESAC) and
the Conseil québécois des ressources humaines en culture (CQRHC) and private residential and long-term care centres (CHSLD) not under agreement.
Political parties or associations.
Foreign workers holding a temporary work permit are not eligible.
EXCLUDED COMPANIES AND ORGANIZATIONS:
Companies and organizations that are still repaying a debt entered into previously with the Ministère du Travail, de l’Emploi et de la Solidarité sociale, unless they are abiding by the terms of a written reimbursement agreement with the Department;
Companies and organizations engaging in controversial activities and with whom it would be unreasonable to associate the name of the Department or Commission partnering with the labour market.
Companies and organizations whose activities are interrupted due to a labour dispute (strike or lockout);
Companies and organizations subject to the Charter of the French Language that have not obtained their francization certificate.
MAXIMUM NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS PER COMPANY
In order to allow all ICT sector companies to benefit from the subsidized training opportunities, TECHNOCompétences shall limit the number of enrolments to three (3) participants per company, per theme. If a company wishes to enrol more participants, it must submit its request to TECHNOCompétences by email (firstname.lastname@example.org). More than three (3) participants may be enrolled if there are spots remaining a few days before the training.
ENROLMENTS, CANCELLATIONS AND REIMBURSEMENT
TRAINING CANCELLATION POLICY
In the event of cancellation:
TECHNOCompétences reserves the right to cancel or change the time of a training;
TECHNOCompétences’s responsibility shall be limited to the enrolment costs for this training;
TECHNOCompétences will contact enrollees by email only;
Training courses, syllabi, rates and dates are subject to change without notice.
TRAINING REIMBURSEMENT POLICY
TECHNOCompétences shall not offer reimbursement to a participant wishing to cancel his/her enrolment. A replacement for that person or a credit for a future training will be proposed instead.
PROOF OF PARTICIPATION
TECHNOCompétences shall provide proof of participation to each participant that attended more than 80% of the training. Depending on the training, this proof shall be provided in PDF or letter format.
